MARANGU ROUTE

This route is located from southeast of Mount Kilimanjaro and beginnings with short drive from Moshi town to Marangu gate. It is the oldest and well-established route with its nickname of Coca-Cola route which derived from the fact of being the only route people sleep in the hut instead of tents as other route. Marangu route is considered as the easiest route on Mount Kilimanjaro due to its gradual slope, although in the real fact should not be considered as the fact of truth and despise the necessary required preparation. This route has its own test of adventure, scenery, and challenge and in contrary to other route, it offers a comfort sleep in the shared mountain hut with solar light and comfortable sponge mattress. The uniqueness of the route is that it is the only route where client will get time to visit Zebra rocks located close to Mawenzi peak. This hike can be climbed in five days or 6days for better acclimatization

    The Rongai Route is one of the paths used to ascend Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa. Known for its scenic beauty and relatively less crowded trails, the Rongai Route approaches Kilimanjaro from the north, close to the Kenyan border, providing a unique perspective of the mountain compared to the more popular southern and western routes.

    NORTHERN CIRCUIT ROUTE ITINERARY

    This is the newest route on mountain Kilimanjaro. The treks start from Moshi with long driving to Lemosho gate and follow the Lemosho trails in the beginning and approach Kilimanjaro from west and later instead of following the southern traverse as Shira and Lemosho route do, this route traverse around the quiet and rarely visited northern slopes of the mountain.

    ARRIVE IN TANZANIA

    You will be picked up at the Kilimanjaro International Airport and transferred to a Hotel in Moshi town. You will meet your guide who will brief you on your upcoming trek and do an equipment check to make sure you have all the necessary mountain gear. Gear which is missing can be rented on this day

Hike: Starts from Londorossi Gate through rainforest. Duration: ~3-4 hours Overnight: Camping at Mti Mkubwa Camp. Activities and Highlights: Forest hike, wildlife sightings, and acclimatization.

      DAY 2: Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,780 m) to Shira 1 Camp (3,505 m) Hike: Ascends through heather and moorland. Duration: ~4-6 hours Overnight: Camping at Shira 1 Camp. Activities and Highlights: Transition to heath zone, views of Mount Meru and Shira Plateau.

      DAY 3: Shira 1 Camp (3,505 m) to Moir Camp (4,200 m) Hike: Continues through moorland, passing the Shira Cathedral. Duration: ~5-7 hours Overnight: Camping at Moir Camp. Activities and Highlights: Hike through alpine desert, views of Northern Icefields.

    UMBWE ROUTE ITINERARY

    The Umbwe route is deserved to be considered as the most challenging route and that should be attempted by strong and real adventurer team. This is because the trail is not well opened due to low traffic. The route does not give necessary stage to acclimatization due to the fast ascent to high altitude which may lead to altitude sickness.
